IB Economics class schedule

Explore our current IB Economics classes at Far East Shopping Centre, Orchard, for Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) students preparing for the May/June and October/November examination sessions.

Classes are taught by our Economics teaching team. Available sessions, tutor allocation and timings may vary by term. Each class runs for two hours. One-to-one IB Economics lessons are also available, and online places are open to students in Singapore and overseas. IB Economics SL Tuition in Singapore

KS Academia Prep runs dedicated IB Economics SL tuition in Singapore: Standard Level taught as a course in its own right, not a shorter lap through the Higher Level room.

Every IB Economics class on the timetable above runs as a single-level session, SL only or HL only, and dedicated Standard Level classes run for both the May/June and October/November exam sessions. That split exists because SL and HL are marked differently: SL never sits Paper 3, and its Internal Assessment is weighted higher than HL's. Teaching them apart keeps SL lesson time on what SL is actually assessed on.

  • No Paper 3 in the room. SL lesson time goes to Paper 1, Paper 2 and the IA, never to HL's policy paper.
  • IA time weighted to match the syllabus. The Internal Assessment is 30% of the SL grade against 20% at HL, so SL classes give it proportionally more class time.
  • Same teaching team, same class cap. SL group classes are taught by our Economics teaching team and have a class size of up to 10 students, exactly like HL.
